What goes on.. Goes within.
Now we've all cleaned up our diets, let's not forget that what goes on, goes within! The average woman puts over 500 chemicals on their skin every day, many of which are slowly but surely being absorbed into our bodies, and causing serious long term health implications. Janey looks at the hidden dangers, and how we could be undoing all the good work in improving our diets, what to look out for in your everyday products, and what to avoid, including some simple DIY recipes for your own household and makeup products.
Roxy's Bite size yoga workshop
Roxy teaches people how they can fit bite-size chunks of yoga into their lifestyles, however busy. During this workshop, Roxy will target some problem areas, with a focus on toning, energizing and relaxing. The workshop is accessible to all levels of ability and is perfect for those who have never tried yoga before. There will be something for everyone, for those who just fancy trying yoga for the first time or want to start practicing yoga regularly, to keep fit and slim.
Vegan TV and theatre actress, Roxy Shahidi played the character of Leyla Harding in the ITV1 soap, Emmerdale for 3 years. Her new DVD, which includes a vegan recipe booklet, entitled ‘Roxy's Bite Size Yoga' is fast becoming a best-seller. It retails at £12.99 and is available from www.imcvision.com and all good stockists.

Vegucated Panel - saturday 3.15 - Jane easton & Rose Alexander

JANE EASTON - VIVA!
Jane is the food & cookery co-ordinator of VIVA! and the Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation (VVF). A self-taught cook, she has been vegetarian for 15 years and vegan for seven. Jane has developed delicious vegan recipes for many of VIVA! and VVF's publications from 'Have a Heart' and 'How to be Dairy-Free' to 'the V-Plan Diet', as well as for the VVF's Vegetarian Recipe Club (see www.vegetarian.org.uk) and VIVA!'s website (seewww.viva.org.uk/recipes). She gives popular cookery demos around the UK and regularly contributes to radio and the Press.

Rose Alexander
At 22, Rose is a food-obsessed animal lover. Much to her family's dismay, she decided to go vegetarian at the young age of SIX, and made the connection between her food and the animals that she loved and cared for. Perhaps they thought it was a phase? But she stuck to it, and when she began working for VIVA!, it just made sense for her to go vegan. Her natural fondness for and unlimited creativity with food makes the vegan transition easy, fast and fun!
Rose has lived in Bristol for over two years now. Her profuse love for ALL animals leaves her with a big bundle of rescued RATS. She also actively volunteers for animal-friendly charities and rescue centres such as the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in her spare time. And of course being a food lover, she has performed a large variety of vegan cooking demos at various veggie events across the country.
